Thank you to all who supported me in my bid for a seat on the APME board. I look forward to learning and contributing as I serve my term.
As our world has changed we as news organizations have found ways to change also, to use new tools of storytelling and to meet new challenges.
In some ways, the challenges have provided opportunity to redefine ourselves and our role in our community. But some things have not changed.
When the extras are stripped away or set aside we refocus on why we are here - as watchdogs, as guardians, as the trusted news source for our community.
That doesn't change when stories go on the Internet or when we add 2 minutes of video to enhance text.
