How dumb can a crook get in these hard times?

Financial experts say the economic recovery has stalled.

I guess in these difficult times it’s hard to see the glass half full when we expected so much more.

It’s the same with crooks. They have to make a living in their chosen profession.

A case in point occurred in Atlanta this summer. We all know it takes a lot of folding green to live in –– or even visit –– “Hotlanta,” so this particular crook cannot be blamed too much for seeing his glass half empty.

In the 1930s, Ireland is thought to have reached its peak population of 8.5 million inhabitants.
Over the centuries, however, countless Irish emigrated to destinations the world over.
Between 1830 and 1914, nearly 5 million Irish emigrated to the United States alone. Today, an estimated 70 million people the world over claim some Irish ancestry, and an estimated 41 million Americans claim Irish as part of their ancestral background.
